Describe your career and what a typical work day looks like.

As a school district superintendent, I have the opportunity to work with many teams of dedicated educational professionals, support staff, and community members to ensure a quality education for the young people of our community. My days are spent working with different stakeholder groups, providing support to others, planning and reviewing programs and initiatives, and visiting schools across the district.

What energizes you outside of your career?

I enjoy spending time with family, the outdoors, farming, music, traveling to different countries via YouTube, working on cars or machinery, construction, and fixing things.

How is JCEDC valuable to you and your organization?

JCEDC provides our school district with invaluable information regarding economic growth in our area. Having a voice in this group allows our district to impact change in our community that will support public education. As a partner with JCEDC, our district receives timely information regarding workforce needs that helps us align curriculum and learning opportunities for students that will better prepare them to fill those needs.

What have you enjoyed the most about serving on the JCEDC Board of Directors?

As a member of the JCEDC Board of Directors, I enjoy working with others that are passionate about the preservation and development of Johnson County. Johnson County is a great place to live, work, and play. I enjoy working together to maximize our resources in an effort to enhance the lives of our county residents and visitors.

Teamwork, Supportive, Innovative

Why do you love Johnson County, Missouri?

Johnson County, Missouri positions me perfectly between large metropolitan amenities and my rural roots of farming and outdoor recreation.
