Describe your career and what a typical work day looks like.
I own and operate title insurance companies in Johnson, Lafayette, Pettis and Saline Counties, and am proud to carry on the legacy of a third generation family company. My typical workday consists of managing the day-to-day operations, and being a visionary for its continued growth.
What energizes you outside of your career?
I have a loving wife who is passionate about her career as a journalism adviser at the University of Central Missouri, and three intelligent and athletic daughters that are very involved in school activities and sports of all types. Being the husband and father that God intends is what energizes me the most, together with quite a bit of golf.
How is JCEDC valuable to you and your organization?
JCEDC is instrumental in not only the expansion and retention of major employers and small businesses throughout Johnson County, but also provides valuable assistance in times of need. The recent COVID-19 experience has proven JCEDC to be a valuable asset and resource when unforeseen circumstances arise.
What have you enjoyed the most about serving on the JCEDC Board of Directors?
Other than working with a talented and fun group of people, the most enjoyable part of serving on the JCEDC Board of Directors is the experience of assisting with the improvement of our communities. Participating in the economic development of Johnson County is exciting and inspiring. It challenges you to want to do more, and be better.
What three words would you use to describe JCEDC?
Enriching and cultivating advancement
Why do you love Johnson County, Missouri?
When my family moved to Warrensburg, MO in 2008, we could not have expected to experience the welcoming atmosphere with which we were greeted, or the life-long friendships that have developed. Watching the county grow and innovate has been sensational, and I am more excited to see what is to come.
