MISSOURI INTERNATIONAL TRADE & INVESTMENT TEAM VISITS CENTRAL MISSOURI ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ALLIANCE REGION

Representatives from the Central Missouri Economic Development Alliance (CMEDA) hosted representatives from Missouri International Trade & Investment (MIT) offices on Monday afternoon October 7, 2019 in Clinton. The team from Missouri International Trade & Investment were on a 3 city tour of various development regions to learn more about development opportunities and foreign owned firms in the region.  The group from MIT represented trade offices in India, Canada, and Mexico as well as officials from Jefferson City. The topics discussed included:

  • Community/county updates from Henry, Johnson, Lafayette, Pettis, and Saline Counties
  • Development opportunities and land site overview discussion
  • Foreign-owned companies located in the 5 county region
  • Unique tourism venues and events of interest to international travelers in the region
  • Techniques and opportunities for Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in the region
  • Export assistance and marketing assistance available to local firms in the respective trade areas
